GUWAHATI: In a tragic incident, three minor girls in Dibrugarh district of Assam died after getting drowned in a roadside drain on July 1.
Speaking to media, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Padmanabh Barua said, “Tingkhong police was informed about the bodies of three minor girls in the morning. The cause of death is due to drowning as the bodies were found in a roadside drain.”

“Prima facie it seems that the deaths were caused due to drowning. Further probe will be done on the basis of post mortem report. Case registered,” added Barua.
