GUWAHATI: A half-naked body of a 25-year-old woman was found near the Indo-Bhutan border area in Chirang.
The body was found with blood all around, and was recovered from Deosri forest under Ranikhata police station.

The locals have alleged that this incident was a brutal case of rape and murder.
The apprehended prime accused has been identified as Kisun Murmu. He was thrashed by local residents following the incident and is currently in the custody of Shantipur Police.

The miscreants also tried to murder another woman of the same village on that very same night, and she was critically injured and has been admitted to the hospital.
