GUWAHATI: A 101-year-old woman, resident of Mothers Old Age Home in the Hatigaon area of Guwahati, recovered from COVID-19.
She had tested positive for COVID-19 on September 7, along with a 75-year-old resident of the same old age home. However, they both fought the virus and tested negative on Tuesday, September 15.
They were diagnosed by Dr Farook and the team. Upon testing positive for COVID-19, they were shifted to Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH), Guwahati.
"We shifted her with love and care to MMCH under the supervision of Kamrup Metropolitan District Administration and support from MMCH," district administration officials informed.
Informing about the recovery, officials at Mothers Old Age Home said, "Finally 101 years grandma and 75 years mashi ma tested COVID-19 negative."
