GUWAHATI: The Asam Sahitya Sabha has announced its list of awardees on the 28 January. They are to be presented with the award in the 75th biennial session of the Sabha that will be held from the 1st to the 4th of February at Sualkuchi.
Here is a list of the awardees –
1. Ananda Chandra Agarwala award to Partha Sarathi Mahanta
2. Bishesh Samaj Hitoyshi (Special social service) award to Ganesh Tamuli
3. Bishesh Yuva Sahitya ( Special youth literary) award to Barnali Kalita
4. Special Cultural Organiser (by Medhi Dharani-Aloka Nyas) awards to Tarun Azad Deka
5. Mahendra Borthakur Memorial Special Playwright Award to Dhrubajyoti Sarma
6. M Ilimuddin Dewan award to Habibur Rahman
7. Hari Prasad Neog award to Samar Talukdar
Also the President’s special awards are to be bestowed on –
1. Bhasha Pran honour to Dr Narayan Das
2. Anubad Ratna honour to Bhrigugiri Maharaj (posthumously)
3. Preranamoyi Nari honour to Rekha Baruah
