Army Officers from Assam Nominated for Prestigious 'Sena Medal'

GUWAHATI: Two worthy sons of Assam, Lieutenant Colonel Raj Kumar Pallab Gohain and Captain Siddhartha Das has been nominated for prestigious ‘Sena Medal’.

This is issued in a notification by Union Ministry of Defence. 

Lieutenant Colonel Raj Kumar Pallab Gohain originally commissioned in the Gorkha Rifles now serving in Rashtriya Rifles and Captain Siddhartha Das of Parachute Regiment (SF) – one of the elite regiments of Indian Army. 

It is to be mentioned that Das's service with bravery in J&K for three years finally got the recognition with his nomination for the ‘Sena Medal’. 

Captain Siddhartha Das is the eldest son of Dilip Das, a lecturer in English, and Krishna Das, Head of the Department of Economics, both in MC College, Barpeta and a resident of Gandhi Nagar of Barpeta.
