In a major twist in the APSC Cash-for-Job Scam, another ACS officer named Abhishikha Baruah has been suspended.
Abhishikha has recently acted as a prime witness and produced legal statement against Rakesh Paul in connection with the scam.
According to sources, Baruah has earned the post of ACS officer by giving a handsome amount of money to accused Rakesh Paul.
Despite charges against her, she was continuing her job holding the same designation.
In the recent Assam Legislative Assembly, opposition leader Debabrata Saikia had raised question against the administration for allowing Abhishikha to continue her job despite her accepting that she bagged the job by paying money.
Abhishikha Baruah has been suspended from the profile today, and all the powers rested on her profile have been removed.
