GUWAHATI: The Dibrugarh Police investigating the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) cash-for-job scam is positive that they will complete the investigation in a month’s time.
“Within one week, we will receive the report of the exam papers and other evidence from Forensic Department. Those having anomalies will be arrested. Many people are trying to sabotage the investigation. We will bring them to book,” said Additional SP (Dibrugarh), Surjit Singh Panesar. The chargesheet may be filed by the second week of August.
Panesar who has been leading the investigating team has been facing a lot of difficulties due to the high and mighty involved in the scam.
