GUWAHATI: The Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) has issued a public notice regarding the planned shutdown of the 132 kV Haflong Transmission Line by Power Grid for the installation of a Differential Relay. The shutdown is scheduled to take place from December 19 to 23, between 8 AM and 1 PM.
During this period, residents in several areas will experience a temporary disruption in power supply. The affected areas include Haflong town, Jatinga, Sontilla, Lower Haflong, Dihangi, Harangajao, Kappurcherra, Dittokcherra, Mahur, Leikul, Laisong, Maibang, Langting, Kalachand, and other surrounding locations.
The purpose of this planned shutdown is to facilitate the installation of a differential relay, a crucial component for ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of the power transmission system. APDCL assures the public that this temporary inconvenience is necessary to upgrade the existing infrastructure and enhance the overall reliability of the power supply.
Residents and businesses in the affected areas are advised to take necessary precautions and make arrangements for alternative power sources, if required, during the specified hours of the planned shutdown.
