Amit Shah visits Guwahati to strengthen BJP's organisational base in Assam

National President of BJP, Amit Shah has arrived in Guwahati to participate in a series of organisational meetings in the city. His visit is aimed at strengthening the party's organisational base in the state.

Shah took part in booth president's convention in Guwahati on Saturday morning.
Besides the booth president's, the state party chief, presidents of various wings of the party and other leaders also took part in the convention.

"BJP's victory in the northeastern states has been possible only because of the hard work of the booth presidents." Shah said.

Comparing feat achieved by the party in the state of Assam, the President said that during the UPA regime, Assam got an amount of Rs 79,741 crores during the 13th Finance commission. On the other hand, during the NDA regime, Assam had received an amount of Rs 1.55292 lakh crores, in the 14th Finance Commission.

According to sources, after the convention, Shah will meet the party MLAs and MPs.
