GUWAHATI: In an unfortunate incident that took place in the city, a pilgrim who came to Guwahati for the Ambubachi Mela 2018 drowned in the river Brahmaputra today morning.
According to Jalukbari Police, SDRF is currently conducting a search operation to find out the devotee. The identity of the devotee is yet to be known.
It is to be mentioned that more than 19 lakh devotees from all over the world have thong in this year Ambubachi Mela to seek the blessing of Maa Kamakhya.
