GUWAHATI: As results of all officials of the Allahabad Bank, Machkhowa Branch, tested negative for COVID-19, the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup Metro, Biswajit Pegu, vide an order today, directed withdrawal of containment zone status from the bank premises.
The District Disaster Management Authority had earlier, on May 15, demarcated the bank as a containment zone. The order has been withdrawn today with directives that the Bank authorities sanitize the branch thoroughly before resuming banking activities.
The entire staff of the bank is further advised to strictly adhere by the COVID-19 protocols ordered by the district administration.
