All ‘No Entries’ For Construction Work Lifted From Guwahati’s AK Azad Road For Durga Puja

GUWAHATI: All no-entry restrictions on AK Azad Road, covering the stretch from Battalion Gate to Cycle Factory; and Cycle Factory to Birubari, have been temporarily lifted to ease traffic flow during the Durga Puja festivities.

This decision comes as construction work along this stretch has been suspended for the duration of the celebrations, providing much-needed relief to commuters travelling between Lokhra and Paltan Bazar.

For several months, the ongoing construction work had required vehicles to be diverted from Battalion Gate through Dhirenpara via Barsapara, resulting in severe traffic congestion and increased commuting time. With the temporary lifting of restrictions, traffic flow is expected to improve in the area.
