AIUDF Extends Financial Assistance to Rituparna Pegu’s Widow

GUWAHATI: All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) chief Maulana Badruddin Ajmal said that the Ajmal Foundation would extend financial support of Rs 1 lakh to Rituparna Pegu’s widow.

In a video message, the AIUDF chief said that he is deeply hurt by the brutal killing of 26-year-old Rituparna Pegu by some persons in broad daylight at Noonmati area. Ajmal also demanded that the culprits be hanged.

Rituparana was killed by a group of around five persons, including a minor, following an argument that took place at a shop in Noonmati. The whole incident was captured in CCTV cameras.

Pegu’s murder has been widely condemned across the country and several organizations have hit the streets demanding justice.
