An Air India Flight (IX-1344) carrying 174 passengers on board skidded off the runway while landing at the Karipur Airport at 7:40 pm on August 7.

The incident took place when the flight which had departed from Dubai landed in Karipur, near Kozhikode in Kerala, due to a very heavy downpour in the area.
