AGP Leaders Demand Resignation of 3 Ministers over CAA

GUWAHATI: As part of their protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act, some of the members of the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) have demanded resignation from the party leaders from the state government.

As per reports, the party members have asked Atul Bora, Phani Bhusan Choudhury as well as Keshab Mahanta to tender their resignation from the BJP-led government in which the three of them hold portfolios.

A meeting of the committee was also held at the AGP headquarters in Ambari on Thursday for the same.

The party members have been condemned for their alleged tacit support to the Citizenship Amendment Act against which the state has seen numerous protests for the past few weeks in different parts.
