ABVP Wins Majority in Guwahati’s Lalit Chandra Bharali College Students' Union Elections

GUWAHATI: The results of the Lalit Chandra Bharali College Students' Union elections for the academic year 2024-25 have been declared, with the majority of key positions filled by candidates from the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).

Sikhamani Das was elected as President, with Kaushik Sarma as Vice-President. The post of General Secretary went to Kangkana Jyoti Deka, and Nayan Jyoti Deka was chosen as the Assistant General Secretary. Additional positions include Payal Devi as Social Service Secretary, Giti Bikash Barthakur as Cultural Secretary, Rituraj Boro as Boys' Common Room Secretary, and Mayuri Islam as Girls' Common Room Secretary. 

Two posts were won by candidates from the All Assam Students' Union (AASU). Vritika Kalita was elected uncontested as Literary Secretary, and Nishita Deka was chosen uncontested as the Debate and Symposium Secretary.
