In Guwahati, AASU leaders, along with hundreds of students, marched through the streets, raising slogans and demanding stricter measures against drug abuse and trafficking. The rally saw the participation of AASU Chief Advisor Samujjal Bhattacharya, President Utpal Sharma, and other central leaders.

AASU President Utpal Sharma, addressing the media, expressed concern over the growing drug menace in the state. He highlighted how easy access to drugs is leading many youths down a path of destruction, contributing to rising crime rates. He urged the state government to take firm action to curb the problem.

"AASU will continue its fight against drugs. We appeal to the government and society to work together to secure a better future for Assam’s youth," Sharma said.
