GUWAHATI: Retaliating against Prime Minister Narendra Modi statement on the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016, the All Assam Students Union has called for a state-wide 11-hour bandh on January 8 from 5 am to 4 pm.
While addressing a massive rally at Silchar in Barak Valley on January 4, Prime Minister Modi tried to play a balancing act and said that the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill is not a favour but rather the mistake of the past that has to be corrected.
AASU along with 30 indigenous organisations will lead a massive protest against the Bill across the state.
