80,000 Yaba Tablets Seized In Assam’s Sribhumi, Two Arrested

GUWAHATI: The police in Sribhumi, Assam seized 80,000 Yaba tablets on March 15 along with arresting two involved.

Acting on reliable intelligence, Sribhumi police, erstwhile Karimganj intercepted a truck at Puwamara Bypass under Sribhumi police station and seized a massive consignment of 80,000 Yaba tablets on Saturday.

Two individuals, suspected to be drug peddlers, were arrested in connection with the case. Authorities believe the consignment was being transported for illegal distribution.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “On reliable information, @sribhumipolice intercepted a truck at Puwamara bypass, under Sribhumi Police Station and seized 80,000 Yaba Tablets. Two drug peddlers were arrested in connection with the case. Good job, @assampolice!”

Further legal action is underway.
