Assam Governor, Chief Minister Extend Warm Wishes On Holi

 

 

GUWAHATI: Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma extended their wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of Holi.

"I wish all of you a very happy Fakuwa, the festival of colours and the holy Daulotsav," said Acharya in a message on X.

Sarma also shared his greetings, saying, "Heartiest wishes to everyone on the occasion of Doul Utsav. May the festival of colours light up everyone's lives with colours, joy and prosperity. May Sri Krishna bless everyone with abundance."

Holi, or the Festival of Colours, marks the arrival of spring and the victory of good over evil. Celebrated mainly in India on the full moon day of the Phalguna month, the festival is known for its joyous atmosphere, with people playing with coloured powders, symbolising unity and happiness.
