GUWAHATI: A powerful earthquake of 6.1 magnitude struck Arunachal Pradesh at around 1:45 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, according to the US Geological Survey.
Tremors for the same were also felt in Assam and bordering neighbour, Tibet.

According to USGC, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 114 kms northwest of Dibrugarh at a depth of 9 kilometres.
No casualties or destruction of property has been reported so far.
