5.51 Lakh Earthen Lamps to Light up Ram Janmabhoomi on Diwali

Diwali celebrations in Ayodhya is going to set records as 5.51 lakh earthen lamps are set to lit up the Ram ki Paidi ghats of Uttar Pradesh.

From 11th to 13th November, the UP government is organizing the fourth 'Deepotsav' and the venue has been decorated with extensive rangolis.


Alongside the diyas and the colourful rangolis, 11 tableaus have also been prepared by over 100 workers for the Shabha Yatra. Traditional dancers are to grace the grand occasion in the Ram Janmabhoomi site.


However, the physical presence of the devotees has been restricted due to the pandemic situation. 


"As per the directions of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deepotsav 2020 that will be held in Ayodhya, there are arrangements for virtual Deepotsav. Due to COVID-19, devotees who are unable to reach Ayodhya will be able to light a lamp in front of Sri Ram Lala Virajman through the website," the office of the CM tweeted.
