48,673 Scooters, ₹34.38 Cr Cash To Be Distributed Among Assam's Meritorious Students In 2024

GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has unveiled a series of merit-focused schemes for 2024, with staggering numbers.

The Banikanta Kakati Merit Award will see 48,673 scooters distributed to students, a nod to their dedication and hard work.

Alongside, the Anundoram Borooah Cash Award 2024 promises ₹34.38 crore in cash benefits for 26,969 students, further easing their journey in education.

Adding to the incentives, the CM Special Scheme will provide bicycles to 3.23 lakh students, ensuring they have the means to pursue education without barriers. To top it off, the Pragyan Bharati Fee Waiver scheme will offer a whopping ₹68.44 crore in tuition relief, benefitting 94,838 students across the state.
