48 New Covid-19 Cases in Assam, None in Kamrup (M)

GUWAHATI: Assam recorded 48 new cases as per health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s latest tweet at 11.55 pm on June 2. 

Of these new cases,13 are from Biswanath, 9 from West Karbi Anglong, 7 from Karimganj, 5 from Sivasagar, 4 from Hojai and 1 is from Cachar District.

With this rise in numbers, the state has 1,561 coronavirus positive cases of which 1,217 are active.

Among all districts affected in the state, Kamrup Metro happens to be the worst affected, with 382 cases of which 195 are active, as per data released by Government of Assam on its official COVID-19 advisory website.
