GUWAHATI: A total of 44 Assam police personnel on Sunday, June 28 tested positive for COVID-19, tweeted GP Singh, ADGP (Law and Order).
“Continuing to serve the people of Assam during Covid pandemic, 44 @assampolice personnel have tested positive for COVID-19 till June 28th 2020. 1127 personnel are under quarantine. They are all in high spirits. @DGPAssamPolice @CMOfficeAssam @himantabiswa,” the tweet said.

Earlier, Singh informed that a superintendent of police (SP) rank officer of Assam Police and 30 other officers had tested positive for COVID-19.
