GUWAHATI: In a press conference at Guwahati on May 3, health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed that a total of 3760 people entered Assam on 3rd May from different states of the country.
Of these 900 were from Meghalaya, 1000 from Arunachal Pradesh, 312 from Tripura, 50 from Mizoram, 60 from Manipur and 15 from Nagaland. All of them reached Assam by private vehicles.
Further, 778 people entered through Srirampur and 1301 through Boxirhat. However, of the people entering through Boxirhat, most were truck drivers and truck handymen.
