30 Bangladeshi Nationals Deported From Assam

GUWAHATI: 30 Bangladeshi nationals including three women who were lodged in various detention camps in Assam were deported to Bangladesh on July 25.

According to reports, the Bangladeshi nationals were deported back through Sutarkandi under Karimganj-Bangladesh border in Assam and were received by Bangladeshi authorities in Sylhet.

According to the Karimganj Superintendent of Police, Manabendra Debroy the infiltration started since 2015 and they were arrested for not being able to produce valid documents.
 
The Bangladeshi nationals were arrested from 10 districts and lodged in the Goalpara, Kokrajhar, Jorhat, Silchar and Tezpur detention camps.

As per reports, the immigrants hailed from Brahmanbaria, Chittagong, Comilla, Pabna, Sylhet and other districts of Bangladesh.

It is to be mentioned that with these 124 self-proclaimed Bangladeshi nationals had been deported over the past few years.
