GUWAHATI: A 29-year-old journalist working with a private media house in Guwahati was found dead in an apparent case of suicide on Monday evening.

The deceased, identified as Arnab Kumar Ray, hailed from Bongaigaon and had been living in a rented house at Sewali Path, Juripar in Hatigaon.
Talking to GPlus, an official from Hatigaon police station said, "Ray was discovered hanging in his rented home. The house owner, upon finding him, informed us around 6:30 PM. We know it to be a case of suicide till now but the reason for such a decision remains unclear. The body has been sent to GMCH for post-mortem.”
Further investigation is underway.
