26th Regional Conference On e-Governance Concludes In Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The 26th Regional Conference on e-Governance reached its successful conclusion today in Guwahati, marking two days of intensive deliberations and discussions. 

Organised by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), in collaboration with the Assam Government, the conference provided a platform for experts to exchange ideas during five insightful sessions.

NBS Rajput, Joint Secretary at DARPG, highlighted the efficiency of the National e-Governance Service Delivery Assessment (NeSDA). He emphasised its impact on accessibility, ease of use, and privacy across various sectors such as finance, education, social welfare, environment, labour, and employment.

The day's sessions focused on "e-office in Northeast" and "e-Governance Awarded Initiatives 2022 – District level initiatives in e-Governance." Discussions covered the adoption of Electronic Human Resource Management System (e-HRMS) practices and advancements in single-signature procedures using e-forms.

The inaugural ceremony, held on January 9, was graced by dignitaries including Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, Union Minister Jitendra Singh, Chief Secretary Paban Kumar Borthakur, and Secretary, DARPG, V. Srinivas.

The Regional Conference aimed to facilitate the sharing of experiences and innovations in public administration, contributing to the ongoing efforts towards improving the quality of life, good governance, and digital transformation.
