25000 More People to Return to Assam; Over 2 Lakh Tests Conducted

GUWAHATI: "25,000 people will return from Kerela by 17 trains in the next few days," said health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a press interaction on 13th June.

Two of these trains have already departed from Kerela. Also, 2 more trains from Bengaluru are to bring stranded people  back to Assam.

Further, the government of Assam has written to the Aviation Ministry stating that only 25 flights would be allowed per day to Guwahati from tomorrow. The decision was made due to lack of coronavirus protocols in the airports given the surge in number of flights.
