GUWAHATI: Two persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in Golaghat on May 18.
Earlier today, of the new cases identified in Jorhat and Nagaon, two were from Jorhat and one was from Nagaon. Both are being kept under quarantine.
The patients are being treated at the Jorhat Regional Quarantine Centre at present.

Meanwhile, one death has been recorded in Gauhati Medical College & Hospital. The patient, Gopindra Chandra Malakar, aged 71, was suffering from neck cancer and had recently returned from Mumbai.
With these two cases, the total tally in Assam stands at 104 with 58 active cases and 3 deaths.
