GUWAHATI: A 17-year-old boy from Golaghat succumbed to COVID-19 infections on Tuesday, October 6, becoming one of the youngest victims of the dreaded virus in Assam.
A total of 17 COVID-19 positive patients passed away on Tuesday, taking Assam's death toll to 778.
Among others who succumbed to the virus on Tuesday was 18-month-old Amina Parbin from Barpeta.

"My prayers to God to provide all bereaved families & friends with enough strength to bear the pain," posted state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Twitter.
Tuesday came to a close with the report of 1,184 new people testing positive for COVID-19 in Assam, taking the total tally to 1,88,902.
Further, 1,586 persons were discharged from various health care facilities across Assam.
