16 students from Assam in Yoga Olympiad 2017

The Elementary Education Department, Govt of Assam and the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has initiated steps to send 16 school students from the state to the Yoga Olympiad 2017 at the national level to be held in the month of June, at New Delhi. The motive of the State Govt behind the initiative is to provide each student with the understanding of yogic practice for developing healthy habits and lifetsyle.   The activity will take place in 145 educational blocks of the state on 28th February, whereas the other two activities namely, the olympiad at the district and state level will be conducted to select students for participating in the olympiad at the national level.    The main objecive of such olympiads is to develop physical, emotional and mental health in students to lead a disciplined life to dedicate their services towards peace, and harmony in the universe.   Stay updated on the go with GPlus News.
