GUWAHATI: Assam Boys had to settle for silver in the 15th Junior National Roll Ball Championship which concluded at Jaipur in Rajasthan on Friday, December 30, 2022. Delving into the final on Friday, the visitors went down putting up a good fight in front of the hosts Rajasthan 3-5.
Earlier in the group matches, Assam defeated Madhya Pradesh 9-6, followed by Gujarat 6-3z Chandigarh 19-1, and RSSA 8-3 while losing to Uttar Pradesh 1-6.
Notably, Assam outclassed Jharkhand 7-5 even as the visiting team defeated Maharashtra 6-4 in the quarterfinal. On the other hand, Assam Girls were out of the race in the quarter-final against Uttar Pradesh in an exhaustive match.
