GUWAHATI: The Assam Government, during its Cabinet Meeting on December 21, announced a 15% hike in the existing stipend for a diverse category of doctors.
The stipend increase will apply to post-doctorate, post-graduate doctors, senior residents, non-PG residents, internee doctors, postgraduate diploma holders, and pre-registered internees of Government Medical and Dental Colleges. The revised stipends are set to be effective from April 1, 2024.
The revised stipends will benefit a broad spectrum of medical practitioners, including those undergoing post-doctoral and post-graduate studies, senior residents, and non-PG residents. Furthermore, internee doctors, postgraduate diploma holders, and pre-registered internees of Government Medical and Dental Colleges will also experience a significant increase in their stipends.
