GUWAHATUI: 14 girls hailing from the Northeast region including states of Assam, Tripura were trafficked and sold to Saudi Arabia.
This came up after the Lucknow police busted a major trans-national human trafficking racket and arrested the kingpin, Amna Begum where she confessed the same upon her arrest.

The accused confessed that out of the 14 girls who have been trafficked to the Arabian country, seven were from Tripura and that the girls were trafficked by luring them of profitable jobs.
Investigation is on and more developments are likely to come out.
