GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Water Supply Project, supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), opened registrations for residents in 21 District Metered Areas (DMAs) on March 12, to ensure the supply of drinking water.

The areas of the city are Down Town area, Dwarika Nagar, Chachal area, Upper Chachal area, Junaki Path/Rupkonwar Path, Fancy Bazar/Machkhowa, BK Kakati Road/Rehabari, GS Road from Ulubari Chariali to Paltan Bazaar, the left side of GS Road from ASEB Road to Ulubari Chariali, and Rupnagar/Birubari.

Citizens residing in these areas have been urged to apply for the hassle-free delivery of potable water directly to their homes. To register for the water connection, interested citizens can visit the website www.gmdwsb.in or download the GJB mobile app available on the Google Play Store.
