GUWAHATI: A total of 10 artists from Assam have been selected for the prestigious Sangeet Natak Akademi and Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar Awards.
Sangeet Natak Akademi Awards for the year 2019 and 2021 to be received by the following-
For the year 2019, the awardees are-
1. Ranjumoni Saikia for Sattriya (Dance)
2. Abinash Sarma for Direction (Theatre)
3. Pranjal Saikia for acting (Theatre)
For the year 2021, the awardees are-
1. Gunindra Nath Ojha for Traditional Play of Assam-Ankiya Bhaona
2. Prashanna Gogoi for Folk Music and Dance
Further, 5 artists from Assam have been awarded with the Sangeet Natak Akademi's one-time Sangeet Natak Akademi Amrit Award 2022.
1. Hori Bora Barbayan for Sattriya Dance
2. Dharmeswar Nath Ojha for Byas Ojhapali
3. Guru Prasad Ojha for Sattriya Ojapali Byas Kirtan
4. Minoti Khound for Hindustani Instrument Violin
5. Makhan Chandra Borah for Folk Music and Dance
A total of 128 artists across India from various field like music, dance, theatre, folk etc have been selected to be conferred with the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award.
Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar Award for the year 2019, 2020, 2021 are also to be received. The names are as follows-

For the year 2020, the awardees are-
1. Himangshu Sahrma for Theatre Direction
2. Jollymoni Saikia for Dance
For the year 2021, the awardees are-
1. Dipjyoti Das for Contemporary Sattriya
2. Dipankar Arandhara for Contemporary Sattriya
A total of 102 artists across India who have made a mark as young talents in their respective fields of the performing arts to be conferred with Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar Award.
