Zubeen Garg asks People of Assam to stay United and Protest against Rape on Social Media

Zubeen Garg while performing at a Bihu function held at Bongaigaon on Monday, laid emphasis on the rising incidents of rape and women molestation across the state of Assam.

Raising concern about the issue, the artist said that criminals who are involved in such heinous crimes should be severely punished. He also said that safety and security of women is not only the duty of the police or administration, but a responsibility of each individual of the state. "People of the state should stay united and protest against rising cases of rape in the state. We should make best use of social media, and show that we stand againt Rape," Zubeen said.

He also laid emphasis on the importance of raising awareness about the issue among all the people.

Speaking at the function, Zubeen said, "Criminals should be punished severely. If it were in my hands, I would have sentenced all rapists to death."
