GUWAHATI: The much-awaited Zoo Road flyover is set to receive an Assam map structure at the prominent Zoo Tiniali trisection.
The flyover, designed to enhance transportation and ease traffic congestion, is scheduled for inauguration on October 18. This ongoing flyover construction project stretches from the Zoo Tiniali area to Sundarpur along RG Baruah Road, with an extended arm reaching Geetanagar via Mother Teresa Road.
The map structure is nearing completion, with approximately 95 per cent of the work already accomplished. Speaking to GPlus, a worker in the Zoo Road flyover said, "This structure was installed two days back at 1:30 AM."
A senior official from the Public Works Department (PWD) revealed that "The structure comes with a budget of ₹3.16 crore."
"It is expected to be inaugurated concurrently with the Zoo Road flyover," the PWD official further told GPlus.
