Kanchan Gupta, Senior Advisor at the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, confirmed the removal on microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter), stating that the episode was blocked due to its "obscene and perverse comments" made by Allahbadia.
The controversy erupted after a clip from the show went viral, in which Allahbadia asked a contestant an inappropriate question: “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day or join them to finish it once and for all?” The remark sparked nationwide outrage, with social media users calling for action against the podcaster.
In response to the backlash, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) urged YouTube to take "urgent action" and remove the episode.
According to reports, Mumbai Police contacted both Allahbadia and Raina, summoning them for an inquiry into the remarks made on the show.
Notably, various outfits, lawyers, and political parties made multiple complaints against the artists, the organiser of the show, and the platform that broadcasted the show in Munbai.
Meanwhile, Assam Police registered an FIR on February 10 against five YouTubers and social media influencers linked to the programme, accusing them of promoting obscenity and engaging in sexually explicit discussions.
Following the backlash, Allahbadia, popularly known as ‘BeerBiceps,’ issued a public apology, admitting that his comment was inappropriate and not meant as comedy. “Comedy is not my forte. I am just here to say sorry,” he stated.
Legal complaints have been filed by various organisations, lawyers, and political groups against the artists, the show’s organisers, and the platform that broadcasted the content. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
