Youths from Students’ Union Create Ruckus at K.C Das Commerce College

GUWAHATI: Two miscreants who claimed to be from the All Assam Students Union (AASU) caused a ruckus at K.C. Das Commerce College at around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 24.

The miscreants were allegedly drunk and were misbehaving with students of the college. According to bystanders, the two miscreants had come to check on the banners which were being put up ahead of the college elections, which are currently underway in the campus.

A few students complained to college security officials and the miscreants were escorted out of the college campus. However, the two drunken youths started harassing and threatening the students who had complained to security. Following this, a crowd gathered and city police officials were called.

Bharalumukh OC, Manikant Chamuah, told G Plus “Some students had called us after the incident took place in college. There was an argument between members of two different students’ unions.”

Chamuah added that they had detained the two in the case but had to later release them as there was no complaint against them.
