Youth Allegedly Drunk Driving Kills One In Road Accident In Gujarat, Screams 'Another Round'

 

GUWAHATI: A road accident in Vadodara’s Karelibag area on March 13 claimed the life of a woman and left seven others injured after a speeding car, allegedly driven by an intoxicated law student, plowed into multiple two-wheelers.

The incident, captured on CCTV, has sent shockwaves through the city. According to police reports, the accused, identified as Rakshit Ravish Chaurasia, a law student at MS University, was driving a black car at an estimated speed of over 100 kmph when he lost control and crashed. The reckless driving resulted in the immediate death of a woman and severe injuries to several others, who are currently receiving treatment at a local hospital.

A video reportedly shot by a passerby after the accident has gone viral since where the driver can be seen screaming 'Another round' in an inebriated state. 

Vadodara Joint Commissioner of Police Leena Patil confirmed the arrest, stating, "A four-wheeler rammed into a two-wheeler, leading to the tragic death of a woman. The accused driver has been caught, and further investigations are underway. This is a clear case of drunk driving."
