GUWAHATI: Guwahati police rescued a 19-year-old girl from the clutches of the alleged kidnapper on Tuesday, February 18. She was kidnapped while returning home from college after her HS exam. A team from Guwahati Police, along with Sonapur Police Station, tracked her down in Guwahati and ensured her safe return.

The accused, identified as 21-year-old Mohibur Khan of Sonapur, was apprehended.
The police have initiated legal proceedings against the suspect, and further investigations are underway.
Earlier on Monday, February 17, a 49-year-old woman mysteriously disappeared from Dakhin Jyotinagar. Later she was traced by Chandmari Police Station in Gotanagar near Jalukbari. She was successfully rescued and reunited with her family.
