Worldwide ‘Jaap’ Organised in Adoration of Jain spiritual Leader Acharya Shree 108 Prasanna Sagarji Maharaj on His 51st Birthday

GUWAHATI: Today, on the 51st birthday of Jain spiritual leader Acharya Shree 108 Prasanna Sagarji Maharaj, his devotees have organised a ‘Jaap’ (prayer) wherein, over ninety lakh jaaps will be chanted all over the world, in a single day in His devotion and for His well being. The devotees have organised this prayer to convey their heartiest wishes to the much adored spiritual leader.

Munishree, as is another form of salutation for the spiritual leader, has changed lives of many individuals. His simplicity has taught people to become better people, transforming them from individuals to humans. He has not only taught people to care for humanity, but also work to become better humans in future.

“Non-Violence towards all living beings is the only religion. In happiness, suffering, joy or grief, we should regard all creatures as we regard ourselves. We should therefore refrain from inflicting injury on others, similarly as it would be undesirable when inflicted on us.”

Such are the teachings of Jainism, which Acharya Shree 108 Prasanna Sagarji Maharaj, one of the few saints who have taken it upon themselves to preach.

Since 18th day of April 1989, Acharya Shree 108 Prasanna Sagarji Maharaj, through the perils of nature, has travelled across the country on foot, preaching his beliefs. Through his Tyaag He has touched the hearts of many individuals.

In the year 2004, Munishree visited Guwahati, wherein He started "Ahimsa Sanskar Pad Yatra", which dwells around non-violence.

Listing His sacrifices, Munishree has successfully completed many long duration fasts, with 186 days being the longest.

Currently, Munishree is fasting from 28th of June this year.
