Work for Guwahati-North Guwahati bridge to begin from March: Himanta

GUWAHATI: Work will start for the much-awaited Guwahati-North Guwahati bridge from March 2019 as per PWD minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. 

Speaking at a panchayat poll campaign meeting in North Guwahati the minister assured the gathering that the bridge connecting Guwahati to North Guwahati will have a six-lane road and will come as a relief to people living on both sides of the river.

The estimated cost of the bridge is pegged at Rs. 1,950 crore and the major share will be funded by BRICS New Development Bank.
