GUWAHATI: A woman, who was reported to have gone missing from Guwahati’s Paltan Bazar on Friday, November 22 evening has been traced to a rented house of one Sanjay Tamang at Hengrabari.

According to initial reports, one Md Abdul Karim of Rava Basti, Madari Hat, Alipurduar, West Bengal had told police that he along with his wife Salina Rava (21) were travelling from Alipuarduar to Dimapur by train and de-boarded at Guwahati station.
They came out from station to have dinner at Paltan Bazar, but realised they had forgotten to bring one bag from the station. The husband then went back to fetch the bag. But, after returning from station he didn't find his wife at that place leading to the missing complaint.
However, police said that during investigation, the woman was found in the rented house of Tamang. It was also found that she has been in a relationship with Tamang of Dima Hasao for the past three months through instagram. She had actually fled away from the place while her husband had gone back to the station to fetch the bag, police said.
