GUWAHATI: A woman identified as Najma Begum was found murdered in her home in Bhaskar Nagar, near Zoo Road on Monday, November 18. Preliminary investigations indicated that she had been fatally stabbed in the stomach.

Police have launched an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding her death. An official from Geetanagar police station, speaking to GPlus, stated, "A woman was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Bhaskar Nagar on Monday. The murder is suspected to have been triggered by a clash between the two daughters-in-law. Hasina Begum, one of the daughters-in-law, along with her husband, has emerged as the primary suspect."
Further investigation is underway.
