GUWAHATI: A woman was injured after a student allegedly crashed his scooter into her two-wheeler near Railway Colony Road in Bamunimaidan, Guwahati on Monday at around 12 PM.
Eyewitnesses reported that the woman and her vehicle fell into the nearby drain, causing her severe injuries.
While speaking to GPlus, a bystander said, "The public helped the woman to get out of the drain. The unruly behaviour of the student led to a commotion who eventually fled the scene."
It is to be noted that there was no guard wall or any barrier present by the side of the road, as a result of which the woman tumbled down the drain with her two-wheeler sustaining injuries.
When GPlus tried to contact Chandmari Traffic Police regarding the accident an official stated, "At present we are unaware of the situation. Further details will be provided once we are informed or a complaint is filed."
