GUWAHATI: A woman in Assam’s Batadrava cut off a man’s genitals in self-defence when he allegedly attempted to rape her on Wednesday night.
The accused lived next door to the woman. He entered the woman’s home at night on Wednesday and tried to rape her. In an act of self-defence, the woman cut off the man’s genitals with a sharp object hidden under her bed.
The woman then filed an FIR against the man at the Batadrava Police Station while the accused has been admitted to the Nagaon Civil Hospital in critical condition and is currently undergoing treatment.
The woman, while speaking to the media stated that the man has sexually molested other women as well and that the family members of the accused also threatened her to not report the incident to the police.
While speaking to G Plus, the Batadrava Police said, “We have received the FIR and will now carry out an investigation into the matter.”
